How to Talk with Tweens & Teens

What: 2-hour workshop followed by a Question and Answer Hour

When: Thursday August 24 5-7:15pm EST

Where: We meet virtually on Zoom (link sent to registered attendees prior to the 24th)

Who: This workshop is appropriate for parents, guardians, or any adult raising or working with kids ages 12 to 19.

The cost is $45 per person and space is limited.


This workshop will review:

-Brain and social development through young adulthood

-How family roles impact the parent-teen relationship

-Basics of effective communication

-Connecting with tweens and teens

-Having those difficult, but necessary conversations

Our 2-hour workshop runs from 5pm-7:15pm EST and includes a 15 minute break, followed by a post-workshop Questions & Answers Hour from 7:30pm-8:30pm. Questions will be pre-screened and all of our attendees are invited to submit their question via a private link.

Once we’ve received your completed form you’ll get an invoice via PayPal. Registration is complete when payment has been processed. You’ll then receive the following via email:

-Confirmation of your registration
-ZOOM link for the workshop
-PDF copies of handouts and workshop information
-Link to submit your question for our post-workshop Questions & Answers Hour

Payment Policy:



Once you have submitted your registration form, an invoice (via PayPal) for the total cost of the class will be emailed to the address you provided during registration.



Payment for the full amount is due within 2 days of receiving an invoice. Seats are held for 48 hours after invoice is issued.

If payment is not received during this time, your place in the class cannot be guaranteed.


Cancellation Policy:

-Our workshop allows for a limited number of attendees. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled workshop begins. This will allow us to offer your spot to another caregiver.

-You may email us at Strivefamilyresources@gmail.com to cancel.



-Refunds will be issued via Paypal, minus any administrative fees associated with processing your refund.




Attendance Policy:

-If this workshop offers downloadable items, such as handouts or practice exercises, you will receive a link to access these items. Some workshops will include PDF's, which will be emailed directly.



-The Zoom link will be emailed out no later than 2 days prior to the start of class.

-We ask that attendees sign-in and join the Zoom meeting at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to minimize delays and interruptions once we're underway.

Cameras and Microphones

While not mandatory, most attendees have an easier time engaging with the workshop if they have working cameras.
